How to update MRST PRO to a new version
Remove old files, install the new release and avoid antivirus problems.
New MRST PRO releases add device support and fixes. Follow these steps for a clean update.
Step 1 — Check what's new
Read the release notes on the Downloads page and the latest Updates.
Step 2 — Remove the old version
- Close MRST if it is running.
- Delete the old MRST program files and .exe from the previous version.
Mixing files from different versions is a common cause of errors. Always start from a clean folder.
Step 3 — Allow MRST in your antivirus
Some antivirus programs block repair tools. Add an exception for the MRST folder (or temporarily pause the antivirus while installing), then turn protection back on.
Step 4 — Install the new release
- Download the latest installer from Downloads.
- Extract it with WinRAR or 7-Zip.
- Right-click mrst.exe and choose Run as administrator.
- Complete the installation and launch MRST.

Step 5 — Confirm the version
Check that the version shown in the tool matches the latest release on the Downloads page.
